Serving a diverse clientele encompassing retail, institutional, and corporate sectors, the company operates across 550 cities.

THE STORY

In the fiercely competitive Indian banking and financial services app market, the BFSI sector faces notably high acquisition costs. Consequently, Motilal Oswal sought alternative media avenues to expand its user base and engage new active users with its app.

The challenge

In order to attain its business objectives, the brand had to find a platform which provided access to media that generated quality leads and therefore bring down the acquisition cost.

Campaign objective

Motilal wanted to:

  • Drive 10,000 monthly installs
  • Generate 3,000 validated registrations monthly through e-KYC process on the app
  • Maintain the cost-per-valid-user-profile lower as compared to other paid media channels including search and social media

The solution

To help the brand attain the objectives,


  • VEVE leveraged its partnership with leading mobile handsets (OEMs) Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo and vivo to place ads on their app stores. This helped the brand to scale app installs considerably beyond the Play Store.
  • VEVE strategically selected contextual keywords and positioned its ads across various keyboard inventories to entice highly motivated users to download the app.
  • Furthermore, targeted advertisements were placed within prominent utility apps, capitalising on high-engagement touchpoints to enhance user acquisitions.
  • Affinty's Siteplug, was also used in the campaign. It placed 'Buy' and 'Sell' widgets on pertinent news articles within 'Investing.com'. Users interested in stock transactions after reading the news were directed to Motilal Oswal's website/app.
